Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC)


National Professional Qualification in Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC)

We are partnering with Best Practice Network to deliver this programme.

  • Target Audience: teachers and school leaders who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading behaviour and/or supporting pupil well-being in their school. For example, heads of year or roles with other pastoral responsibilities - see blog here.
  • Course Length: 12 months, plus 3 face to face days across the duration
  • Programme Start Dates: October 2024
  • DFE framework: DFE framework NPQLBC
  • Cost: £895

Requirements to apply:

Applicants must have full support from their school/organisation.

A head teacher, member of the SLT, line manager or Chair of Governors (or similar authoritative role) must confirm their support and that all information submitted is true and correct. This is a Department for Education mandatory requirement.

To apply for NPQLBC, applicants must have the following:

  • Teacher Reference Number (TRN)
  • 2 years teaching experience
  • Leadership aspiration/experience

What will I learn?

You’ll develop the knowledge, skills and expertise to lead effective approaches to behaviour, pupil wellbeing and a whole school culture.

The NPQLBC is delivered using a blend of online seminars, flexible online learning and conferences.

  • Become adept in ensuring good behaviour and a culture of high expectations and learning are maintained across the school
  • Develop expertise across a number of specialist areas related to their role (e.g. behaviour systems)

  • Support to pass the final assessment
  • Content contextualised for your locality and updated to reflect national developments and legislation
  • Facilitation and support from serving school leaders in outstanding schools and delivery at local venues
