Leading Literacy (NPQLL)


 

National Professional Qualification in Leading Literacy (NPQLL)

We are delighted to be partnering with Teach First to deliver this programme.

  • Target Audience: teachers and school leaders who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading literacy across a school, year group, key stage or phase.
  • Course Length: 12 months, plus 3 months for assessment period
  • Programme Start Dates: October 2024
  • DFE framework: DFE framework NPQLL
  • Cost: £901

Requirements to apply:

Applicants must have full support from their school/organisation.

A head teacher, member of the SLT, line manager or Chair of Governors (or similar authoritative role) must confirm their support and that all information submitted is true and correct. This is a Department for Education mandatory requirement.

To apply for NPQLBC, applicants must have the following:

  • Teacher Reference Number (TRN)
  • 2 years teaching experience
  • Leadership aspiration/experience

What will I learn?

You’ll develop the knowledge, skills and expertise to effectively develop others and lead a powerful whole school literacy strategy.

  • Developing writing
  • Professional development
  • Implementation

The NPQLL is delivered using a blend of online seminars, flexible online learning and conferences.
